It’s almost Christmas, but there is no joy in the house of terminally ill Jack and his family. With only a short time left to live, he spends his last days preparing to say goodbye to his devoted wife, Lizzie, and their three children. Then, unthinkably, tragedy strikes again: Lizzie is killed in a car accident. With no one able to care for them, the children are separated from each other and sent to live with family members around the country.
Just when all seems lost, Jack begins to recover in a miraculous turn of events. He rises from what should have been his deathbed, determined to bring his fractured family back together. Struggling to rebuild their lives after Lizzie’s death, he reunites everyone at Lizzie’s childhood home on the oceanfront in South Carolina. And there, over one unforgettable summer, Jack will begin to learn to love again, and he and his children will learn how to become a family once more
MY REVIEW:
WOW I couldn't put it down!!! This would be a great movie! David Baldacci makes this book such a joy to read. You really can feel what Jack is going through with his kids. Everyone should read this book!! This could happen to any one's family and then what would you do??? A++++
OK, My question I wish other Mom's would comment. But since I have NO comments I doubt anyone will.
Jamie is going through this stage(i hope its a stage) were everything is 'NO" and gets MAD easily. But if I ignore her she gets over it faster than if i try to comfort her. Also, last night I had like a melt down because she didn't want to cuddle with me :( please someone tell me what is also a stage!! I am trying to teach her the work YES!!! But she says NO a lot more!! HELP!!!

To me this author is amazing. I have read almost all of his books. When he writes about the characters it makes you feel like they are your best friend or your brother or sister. What I think about this book:Again I can't ever say anything bad about Nicholas Sparks. I couldn't put it down I just wanted to keep learning about Dawson and Amanda. Dawson's life made me sad. He had a terrible father never knew his mother and only loved and cared about one person in his whole life. Lived alone and had a very dangerous job. Amanda's life was better but to me also sad that her parents wouldn't let her live the life she wanted to live. Her mother is very controlling. I wish they could have ended up together and shared their lives with one another but at least Amanda got the best of Dawson in the end. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves love stories and like to cry just a little bit when reading. Easy read and a quick read.
