A Book Review/Plus a question I wish another Mom would answer

One-Summer
It’s almost Christmas, but there is no joy in the house of terminally ill Jack and his family. With only a short time left to live, he spends his last days preparing to say goodbye to his devoted wife, Lizzie, and their three children. Then, unthinkably, tragedy strikes again: Lizzie is killed in a car accident. With no one able to care for them, the children are separated from each other and sent to live with family members around the country.
Just when all seems lost, Jack begins to recover in a miraculous turn of events. He rises from what should have been his deathbed, determined to bring his fractured family back together. Struggling to rebuild their lives after Lizzie’s death, he reunites everyone at Lizzie’s childhood home on the oceanfront in South Carolina. And there, over one unforgettable summer, Jack will begin to learn to love again, and he and his children will learn how to become a family once more

MY REVIEW:

WOW I couldn't put it down!!! This would be a great movie! David Baldacci makes this book such a joy to read.  You really can feel what Jack is going through with his kids.  Everyone should read this book!! This could happen to any one's family and then what would you do??? A++++

OK, My question I wish other Mom's would comment. But since I have NO comments I doubt anyone will.

Jamie is going through this stage(i hope its a stage) were everything is 'NO" and gets MAD easily. But if I ignore her she gets over it faster than if i try to comfort her.  Also, last night I had like a melt down because she didn't want to cuddle with me :( please someone tell me what is also a stage!! I am trying to teach her the work YES!!! But she says NO a lot more!! HELP!!!

Santa Claus

What a year makes.  Last night we took them to see Santa at Town Center mall. Jamie was so excited to see him dancing, smiling, and clapping in line. She started walking up when it was our turn and the closer she got the faster she started crying.  This was the best picture of her not with her hands in her mouth.  Poor baby!! I think it has something to do with the hat. I am not sure because when we meet Buzz Lightyear, Stich, Lilo and Eeyore she had NO issues with them?
Then this morning I showed her the picture and she kisses Santa and I ask her who is the baby crying and she looks at me like ummm, me mom duuuuu. Then she kisses SANTA again!!!!

Getting a Christmas Tree

This year is the earliest I have ever had a Christmas tree I think.  We went Friday after Thanksgiving to cut down a tree. I guess you would call it 'Black Friday Christmas tree shopping" There was a lot of trees to pick from they were all so pretty.  We go to http://cokertreefarm.com/ I have been going there since I was maybe 2ish.  I have had a real tree for more than 25 years of my life.  I love them.  There isn't anything like a real tree!!!

I think we are officially done Christmas shopping. I finished all my shopping on Cyber Monday. Got a lot of free shipping stuff and good deals. We got Jamie a bunch of Minnie Stuff and a powered Car( I can't wait to see her in that thing)

I really don't think anybody reads my blog but if you DO PLEASE leave a comment I would love to follow your blog too!!

Jamie will be 19 months in a couple of weeks. I can't believe it.  She has been so GOOD around the Christmas tree.  Hasn't touched any of the ornament or bothered any of the other Christmas decorations.  She is talking a lot. Not complete sentences but words and a couple of statements "lets see" "mine" "whats that" "outside"she is so funny!!!

Happy Last day of November

She helped me bring the groceries in the other day.  She likes Blues Clues and likes dancing and I think she sings but I am not sure. :)

16 months

Jamie is 16 months.  Very hard to believe . I feel like she is learning new things every day.  Her hair is getting SOOO Long and I can't believe she lets it hang in her face.  She doesn't like a clip in her hair, she takes it out within 2 seconds.
She is doing so many things
- Last night she climbed up
- Saying so many different words and understand so many different commands
- Helps unload the dish washer every day and gets a yellow star on the board when she helps and listens.  She gets so exicted when she gets a start.  - She is almost brushing her teeth by herself. I have to help a little because she likes to chew on it.
-She knows where her hair, nose, ears, mouth, teeth, tongue, belly and feet are. She loves to have you count and sing the ABC's
- Words she knows: Eyes, ears, Daddy, Mommy, ball, duck, dog, keys, cup, eat-eat, bumbo, pee-pee, she mooo's for cow, beep-beep for a car,
.   I got very frustrated last night because she wouldn't eat.  The only thing she reallywanted was green beans.  I swear if I just put green beans and Lima beans on her plate she would be happy.  I tell her she is going to turn green!!!

She is so sweet she gives hugs and kisses before bed and when she wakes up.  She waves at EVERYONE and says bye bye whenever we leave a room or some where. At daycare they say she is the best behaved child in her room.  That makes me feel really good! :)

15 months

Jamie went to her 15 month doctors appointment on Wednesday.  Dr. Greene gave her 2 thumbs up!! Said 'she looks great'  She got 2 shots in her leg :( poor baby.  It breaks my heard to see her cry like she does when she gets those shots.  She is into everything these days.  She has pee peed in the potty three times and she kind pooped in the potty the other night.  She sat down and started looking at a book and the next thing we know she pooped.  She got up and looked at her poop and was amazed.  She got half of a banana for her little treat.
She loves to play outside, can say some many different words and understand several commands.  She really enjoys it when her sisters come over and she gets to play with them.
Jamie can really throw a ball.  She throws it with her right hand.  But sometimes when she eats she tries to eat with her left and right hand.  So we really haven't figured out which hand she will use.

Brian at Merle Haggard.  Great Concert.

Back from the beach

Jamie and Daddy eating on the Boardwalk
14 months old.  Jamie turned 14 months old on 12th of July.  I can't believe it.

We just got back from the beach.  We think that Jamie had a fun time.  She didn't give us any trouble in the car ride down there or even on the trip.  She enjoyed the beach the 1 time we went down there because we it was so crowed and so HOT.

She is saying dog, duck, daddy, mommy, bottle(which is her cup), ball and trying to communicate however she can.  She hardly can EVER sit still.
She follows instructions like 'put in the trash' ' take this to daddy/mommy' 'sit down and drink your milk'
She always LOVE TO DANCE.  Every time she hears music she starts to dance.
She gives us hugs and kisses often.  She blows everyone a kiss(except the man in Publix with the chief hat on) she doesn't like him to much.  :)
She knows were her nose, eyes, mouth, hair and ears are.  She likes trying to put her shoes on.  She is now officially in the toddler room at day care.

Jamie's first boy to stop and flirt with her.  They were 2 days apart
On our vacation Jamie got to build her first Build a Bear.  She kind of with my help picked a bunny.

April

Can't believe it April 5th where has this year gone already.
Jamie will be 11months on 12th of this month.  Its very hard to believe.

I am really excited about this picture.  She loves to play ball and roll and back and forth to you.  My dream is that she will be 6'2 and a left handed setter LOL...we shall see.
-She is pulling herself up on everything
-crawling all over the place
-pointing to things and loves to be told what things are
-clapping to music

Poor baby fell off the bed last friday night.  yes, it was mommy's fault but everyone says you have to do it at least once.  so there was her once....

Brian and I got to meet a VERY FAMOUS actor.  Clint Eastwood.

A Three Dog Life Book Review

I have been wanting to read this book for some time now.  I have almost bought it so many times. Well truthfully I am glad I didn't.
Its a short and easy book to read.  True facts about this women's life after her husband got hit by a car.
Can't say it was bad, Can't say it was good either.
Its a terrible situation and I felt really sorry for her and her husband.  If my husband ever got hurt and couldn't remember who I was or that we were married I think I would DIE.
Really has nothing to do about dogs.  Don't really like the ending.

Famous Art

In College I took Art Appreciation and I really enjoyed it.  I head several negative comments from fellow classmates that it was boring.   However, since I had seen a lot of the art that we were studying it made it interesting and fun for me.   The beauty of artist from the past.  We have two famous copies of painting in our house.  First the best painting ever "Mona Lisa" I think she is amazing and beautiful.  The second one we have is "Creation of Adam" not the whole thing just the fingers touching.

Mona Lisa was painted by Leonardo da Vinci.  She is housed in Louvre in Paris.  That is where I saw her.  She is nothing like you would think.  She is very small and behind 5 or 6 pieces of glass.  Researchers think that the oil painting could be several different people; his mother, Isabella of Naples, Cecilia Gallerani, Costanza D'Avalos, Duchess of Francavilla, Isabella d'Este or even Leonardo himself.

I think its Leonardo secret lover.  That is why he painted her in kind of dark surrounding because he could never have her.

8 months

Yes, I finally got her in her rocking chair for a picture.  She didn't sit still long but she let me take a couple of pictures!!  Then she started kicking the blocks and picking them up and trying to bit them. :)
But she was having a good oh time.

She said "bye bye" last night.  She has said 'hey' and 'da da' but she is really saying bye bye and trying to wave her hand.  She is wanting to walk so bad.  She is really enjoying playing with her toys and her stand up tables.
For lunch yesterday at the day care she had big girl food for the first time at day care.  I think it was shepherds pie/carrots and apple sause.  :)

Brian found this slide in the garbage at a families house and he went and knocked on the door and asked if they were throwing it away and they said yes.  So we went and picked it up. And Jamie LOVED IT!!! She wanted to slide over and over..

Book Review #2 -"Life, Love and a Polar Bear Tattoo"

Second book I have read on my wonderful Kindle.
I read this book because it was free book off Amazon :)
Wasn't expecting much since it was FREE but turned out to be very good.

Good book.  Easy Read.  Keep me entertained and wanting to read more.

Heather Wardell did a good job describing the characters.
Candice is a wife, and designer and a polar bear fanatic.  Her husband Ian, parents died in a car accident getting Candice a Christmas present.  Their relationship is in trouble. Ian decided to go overseas for work and he is gone for a month.  During that time Candice is reunited with an old love.  Several things occur to make Candice question her and Ian's marriage.  But Ian wasn't innocent either.  Candice has to choice between Ian and her old love that she never got over.

I have to say the middle was a little boring but it picked up towards the end.  When Candice made her decision I was yelling at the book.  Wondering who she picked

First Book Review

To me this author is amazing.   I have read almost all of his books.  When he writes about the characters it makes you feel like they are your best friend or your brother or sister.   What I think about this book:Again I can't ever say anything bad about Nicholas Sparks.  I couldn't put it down I just wanted to keep learning about Dawson and Amanda.  Dawson's life made me sad.  He had a terrible father never knew his mother and only loved and cared about one person in his whole life.  Lived alone and had a very dangerous job.  Amanda's life was better but to me also sad that her parents wouldn't let her live the life she wanted to live.  Her mother is very controlling.  I wish they could have ended up together and shared their lives with one another but at least Amanda got the best of Dawson in the end.   I would recommend this book to anyone that loves love stories and like to cry just a little bit when reading.  Easy read and a quick read.
Can't wait for the next Nicholas Sparks book.
Thanks "Book Hooked" for suggestion I review a book.
My goal this year is to read more books and review them.Right now I am reading "Life, Love and a Polar Bear Tattoo"

New Year 2012

Can't believe its 2012.

Its amazing how life just goes by so fast.  When you are a kid you think the years go by SO SLOW and that your birthday or Christmas will never get here.  Now the days/weeks/months/years just fly by.

Well Jamie will be 8 months on the 12th of this month.
She is doing and learning so many things.
-holding her own bottle
-trying to feed herself with her spoon
-plays with her toys a lot and learning how everything works
-teething bad
-wants our food and gets mad when we get if she isn't eating
-she can almost get up on her knees
-learning to give 'love' hugs no kisses yet :)
-wants to WALK bad
-smiles all the time

For New Years Brian surprised me with a hotel room down at the Atlanta Airport.  We went down there on Saturday afternoon and got a great room with a balcony.  We opened the curtains and there was the runway.  We watched planes land and take off for hours.  Around 9pm a 747 (huge plane) landed it was from Korea.  We keep waiting for it to take off and when we woke up the next morning it was gone.  We had cable in the room which is weird for us to watch TV since we don't have it at our house.  We got to watch the Ball and the Peach drop.  It was good times.  I would love to make it a tradition.

I don't have any pictures yet of Christmas or New Years but I will attach as soon as Brian sends them to me.
